We will be returning soon, but things are going to look a little different. Once you sign up for Open Run through the Sign Up button , all runners must pre-register here to attend one of our select s. There will be up to three starting waves at each run; this will be a temporary way of controlling attendance levels and ensuring proper social distancing while running. We ask that community members volunteer once a quarter, or four times a year. Without volunteer support Open Run would not be possible. Participants must wear masks prior to, during, and after the run or other physical activity. Participants must have a mask on while passing other runners. Will I have my temperature taken? Yes. Temperature checks will be conducted on all participants prior to start of the in-person offering. Participants with temperatures at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will be asked to leave the event, if temperature cannot be reduced prior to the start of the offering. What COVID-19 related questions will I be asked? Participants will be asked various questions around symptomology and exposure history prior to start of the in-person offering. Participants that refuse to answer the questions or answer the questions in such a way as may indicate being covid-19 positive will be asked to leave the event. Will I have to practice socially distancing? Yes. Participants must socially distance while at any NYRR event, program, or activity.
